Rays of Hope
In July 2009, three UPI fellows returned to Malawi to establish Rays of Hope in Blantyre, Malawi. Blantyre is the second largest city in the country and is the commercial center for Malawi.
The mission of Rays of Hope is to nurture children and youth and empower them with abilities essential for life management, academic excellence, and spiritual development to become competent Christian leaders.
Rays of Hope offers AfterSchool Programs and summer camps that include tutoring, discipleship, HIV/Aids awareness, and mentoring. They also offer jobs and leadership opportunities for youth.
