Leaders
In September 2003 to August 2004, William Nyasulu, graduate of the African Bible College in Lilongwe, Malawi, found an opportunity to come to the United States as an intern for Urban Promise ministries in Camden, NJ. For a year, William lived and worked as a mentor and tutor to the children of Camden, while continuing to develop the model for his ministry in Malawi. During his time in Camden, William formed relationships with several key ministry leaders who provided guidance and support for his goal to start a children’s outreach organization in Malawi. By the time he left the U.S., William had secured seed money, a small board and staff for what would become YouthCare Ministries Malawi.
Gibozi Mphanzi is also a graduate of the African Bible College in Lilongwe. After graduating in June of 2007, he traveled to the U.S. to undergo hands-on training in NGO (Non-Government Organization) training under Dr. Bruce Main, at UrbanPromise in Camden, NJ. Apart from participation in classes on Leadership and NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) development, Gibozi also served as an intern in the AfterSchool programs of UrbanPromise. Gibozi now serves as the Executive Director of YouthCare Ministries.
Chikondi Kalima graduated from the African Bible College with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a minor in Christian Education.
