I am Ruth and I am the first girl to reach secondary school in my village. I am studying hard to be a successful business woman and to be a humanity teacher. I love showing compassion to other people and nurturing people.
I became responsible at a very young age having to take care of my siblings as my father was not doing so, I learnt tailoring and ran it as a business to get by. There was no school fees for me nor motivation to study as the believe in my village is that girls are for marriage and not for education. Voices Awake took me in and got me back in school and is providing for my every day needs now.
I am currently being taken care of by Voices Awake and every morning and evening we have study time. We also have Devotions every day and the rest of the day I am usually at school and at home doing my chores.
I pray that Gods grants me Wisdom, good health and More Divine Helpers.
I also pray that God should sustain my Parents and everyone in my Village so that they can live to see my success story and learn from it to not hinder girls.
