My name is Gideon. I live in a village that has one hospital. Most of the houses are cement roofed with a mud floor. My house has a grass roof with a mud floor and brick windows. Our market is a forty minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as tomatoes, mangoes and shoes. Most people grow corn which is our staple food.
In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of school supplies and pregnancy. Girls get married early and become teen mothers. I live with Dad, Mum four Brothers and three Sisters.
I wake up at 5:00am, draw water and go to school. I go to Mtanila Primary School. I want to be an accountant. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I clean dishes and cook. I go to bed at 8:00 pm. I sleep on a mat.
