My name is Madalitso. I live in a village that has no hospital. Most of the houses are iron roofed with a mud floor. My house has an iron roof with a mud floor and wooden windows. Our market is a fifty minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as vegetables, shoes and clothes.
Most people grow corn which is our staple food. In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of school supplies. Girls get married early and become teen mothers.
I live with Dad, Mum, 6 Brothers and 4 Sisters. I wake up at 4:00am, sweep, clean dishes and go to school. I go to Madisi Primary School. I want to be a doctor. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I read. I go to bed at 8:00 pm. I sleep on a mat.
