My name is Blessing. I live in a village that has one hospital. Most of the houses are cement roofed with a mud floor. My house has a cement roof with a mud floor and brick windows. Our market is a fifty minute walk from my house. It has many kinds of goods such as bananas, mangoes and shoes. Most people grow corn which is our staple food.
In my village, many boys and girls drop out of school because of lack of school supplies and pregnancy. Girls get married early and become teen mothers. I live with Dad, Mum, one Brother and two Sisters.
I wake up at 5:00am, sweep, and go to school. I go to Madisi Primary School. I want to be a soldier. After school, I go to Rise Malawi. When I get home, I clean dishes and cook. I go to bed at 8:00 pm. I sleep on a mat.
