My name is Monica. I am the 2nd born in a family of 4 children. My parents are small scale farmers. When I finish school I want to be a teacher because I’d love to teach children. I like to read books and the bible.
I stay in a small village and the house I live in is grass thatched with no electricity which makes it hard for me to study. There is no high school in my community that’s why I travel long distance to get to the one I go to.
I wake up at 5:00 am and I begin with sweeping around the house. I then draw water, take a bath and finally leave for school. After school I go through the same routine and probably cook dinner, if possible study then go to bed.
I need help with the payment of my school fees as I don’t want to turn out like the rest of the kids in my village who found themselves boyfriends for support. I also need school materials such as books and a bicycle that would help me travel the long distance from home to school and back.
