My name is Shakira. I am 12 years old. My birthday is 12 April. I live with my parents and 2 siblings. I am in grade 5 at School. When I grow up, I want to be a teacher, because I want to teach the younger ones about equality.
My favorite Subject in School is Primary Science. Most houses in my village are built with mud and thatched with grass. We are also surrounded by farm lands where most people spend their days.
I wake up at 5 AM, clean the house, cook and then prepare for school. During week days I go to Voices Awake afterschool program but during weekends I am usually at home or visit friends. In the evenings I cook dinner,
study a bit and then go to bed.
